King Boo Piñata

I made this King Boo piñata for a Super Mario birthday party. It took about three days to make, but was definitely worth the effort.

Here it is together with some other items I made for the party: a paper mache Chain Chomp, a Bob-Bomb and some yellow item boxes.

This short video shows how I made the piñata.

Miniature Teapot Box

And so, as promised, here is my first attempt at creating a miniature teapot box:

I chose a very small patterned paper to make this box, and I'm really pleased with how the pattern joined up on all sides. It's fairly difficult to judge the size of it from this first photograph, but hopefully these next three will help.

Firstly, with one of my 'normal' sized teapot boxes:

And here, with the miniature teacup box I made:

Finally, this one gives a better idea of it's size! I love it! It's so cute! But what small treats could I fill it with?

Mini Gift Baskets

In addition to gift boxes and gift bags, these little baskets are the perfect way to make any small gift that extra bit special. They are so adorable, and so incredibly easy to make.

To start, I followed the tutorial here (I used 8 x 8 inch cardstock) then once I had my basic basket, I added some of my own paper flowers to the design. I coloured the small brads (or split pins) with nail polish to match the individual colour scheme, and disguised the backs of the brads with a length of grosgrain ribbon inside.

For this next (green) basket I used 6 x 6 inch cardstock, and added just one handle to the centre.

No doubt I shall be making plenty more of these before Christmas!
