Strawberry Trug

I am super excited about introducing you to this little trug basket!

Strawberry Trug by Esselle Crafts

I tried to keep the style of the trug very close to the Sussex trug, which is where I live. It is traditionally made up of seven base boards, two rim pieces, a handle and two feet. I needed to make slight adjustments to get the template to work, but overall I am extremely pleased with how it has turned out!

Mini Birdhouse Box

I love creating things in miniature, especially boxes, and so, for Easter this year, I thought it would be great to make a smaller version of my birdhouse box just big enough to hold a single Creme Egg!

Spring Chicken Favour Box

After making lots of Easter bags and Easter baskets for this year, I thought about creating a different kind of favour box for Easter too. And the theme I chose to use was a Spring chicken!

I started off with a simple pyramid box, then started experimenting with the various features until I was happy with the design. I eventually decided upon a heart-shaped theme. Apart from the eyes, all of the chicken's features are made up of hearts and I love how they all work together.

Easy Easter Crafts

Birdhouse Box

Following on from my beach hut boxes, I created a similar template to make these cute little birdhouse boxes, perfect for party favours, Mother's Day, Easter and new home gifts.

I added a small ribbon bow to these boxes, which neatly finishes them off.

Of course, if used as a gift box, these birdhouses would reveal a sneaky peek at their contents straight away, spoiling any chance of surprise. But with the addition of some carefully placed nest material (tissue paper) the surprise is kept hidden!

Candy Wrapper Bracelets

As it's nearing Easter, no doubt I shall soon be creating more of these fantastic candy wrapper bracelets. Last Christmas I was given a stash of chocolate wrappers, (honestly, I didn't eat them all myself!) and have finally managed to use them up.

Here is what I created...
