Chocolate Teapot Box

The perfect gift for lovers of tea and chocolate, this tempting 3D chocolate teapot box has a removable lid and can be filled to the brim with real chocolates or other small treats!

Ideal for birthday parties, Easter gifts, wedding favours and more, you can find the template for this box in my Etsy shop, available in both SVG and PDF formats.

To make one of your own, you will need:

Chocolate Teapot Box template (PDF and SVG available)
* Computer and printer to print the PDF templates and instructions
* Digital cutting machine (I have only tested this on my Cricut machines)
* Double-sided cardstock (220-250gsm recommended)
* Craft glue / PVA

If you are not using a cutting machine you will also need:

* Craft knife / scissors
* Scoring tool
* Ruler

Watch my video tutorial showing how to assemble the teapot box, and be sure to follow the tips below.

TIP 1: After assembling the spout piece, gently curve the base edges out so that it looks like this:

This will make it much easier to attach to the teapot.

TIP 2: Gently curve the six tabs on the whipped cream swirl piece using a bone folder or a round pencil. This will give it a smooth, rounded shape and will make it easier to assemble.

TIP 3: To assemble the swirl, fold four of the tabs down first, with the largest sides showing on the outside, then tuck the remaining two tabs in.

TIP 4: Experiment using different coloured cardstock for the swirl, to make it look more like chocolate or caramel icing.

TIP 5: Gently bend the edges of the wafer stick piece before rolling it up. This will help to give it a nice, smooth finish.

TIP 6: I found that wrapping the chocolate curls around the cover of my fine point tweezers makes a really tight, realistic curl.

Don't they look amazing?!

I am so pleased with how these chocolate teapots have turned out, and hope that I have now inspired you to create some of your own!

Happy crafting!

Suzanne
