Pumpkin Teapot Boxes

For Halloween this year, I decided to create a pumpkin treat box using my Teapot Favour Box template as a starting point. It's an idea that I've been working on for quite some time now, and here is the result!

Isn't it great! However, not satisfied with only having one design, I went ahead and created five more!

Perfect for Halloween treats, these boxes have removable lids and can be filled to the brim with candy. Alternatively, pop a battery operated tealight inside, and the cut out face will light up! Ideal for Halloween parties!

They all have different names, and are all available as instant download templates in my Etsy shop. I have separated them into 2 sets of 3 as follows:

Set 1 - Casper, Damien and Jack:

Set 2 - Carrie, Herman and Morty:

Pick your favourite design as a centrepiece, or have all six for an impressive Jack-o'-Lantern display!

To make some of your own, you will need:

Pumpkin teapot box template (2 sets available as PDF and SVG)
* Computer and printer to print the PDF template and instructions
* Digital cutting machine
* Double sided cardstock (220-250gsm / 80-92lb recommended)
* Craft glue / double-sided tape

If you are not using a cutting machine you will also need:

* Craft knife / scissors
* Scoring tool
* Ruler

Watch my video tutorial showing how to assemble the Pumpkin Teapot Box, and be sure to follow the tips below.

TIP 1: When assembling the teapot body, apply glue to the cut out tab first, then line it up carefully with the front panel. Make sure that none of the tab shows through the front.

TIP 2: Use wet glue to attach the yellow face panel. This is so you can line it up carefully with an even amount of yellow showing through to the front.

TIP 3: Ink all of the edges with brown ink (including the leaf) to give it a rustic, textured look.

TIP 4: Curl the tendrils tightly around a pencil nib and hold them there for a second or two, before allowing them to uncurl slightly.

WARNING: Please make sure that you only use battery operated tealights with these boxes, not ones with a real flame!

If you make some of these boxes, then I would really love to see them. Feel free to share your photos of them with me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

Wishing you a very happy and safe Halloween!
